If you've ever been to crops or retreats then you are perfectly aware of the enjoyment of scrappin' & yappin' with some old and new friends. You're also aware of the relaxation and rejuvenation that is received during these events simply because you are able to work on your projects without interruption. Interruptions at home might include laundry, house cleaning, cooking and taking care of your family. Although we love taking care of our families, it is so very nice to be able to go away for a mini-vacation with like-minded people while giving your creativity the time and space to grow and expand.
If you've never been to a crop or retreat then you are in for a real treat! Having the time to work on your projects is your goal but that's not all you'll do. You'll also learn new tips and techniques from the other attendees at the event. These events always include paper-crafters with different levels of expertise. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned crafter, you will surely see someone doing something with paper that you've never seen before. The plus to this is that paper-crafters love to share.
At weekend retreats, you'll be able to work on your projects in the middle of the night if you choose. Most of us like to change into our "comfy" clothes after dinner and then go back to our work spaces and create, create, create. Can you picture it now?
North Carolina is a beautiful state with everything from mountains to beaches. It is the perfect state to spend some quality paper-crafting time with others. We have lined up some great locations for our 2012 events and know you'll be thoroughly pleased with the event spaces and the locations.
